Ignite 2013 Day 3 (Part 3)

This picture is not mine.

For the last session of Ignite 2013, Pastor Steve Murrell. I was really expecting for him to speak on stage because I saw him during Day 2 from where I was seated (since I’m on the bleachers at the top, I could see almost everyone). He preached about Paul. We all know who Paul is. If not, read Acts (?) because his life can be read there (from what I know, but I can’t trust my memory, so I don’t know if you’d trust me or GOOGLE). But I apologize because I think I can’t say much about Paul with Pastor Steve’s preaching because honestly, I wasn’t able to focus very well (though I did my best). But let Acts 20:22-24 be our guide for his preaching (since it was really the main Scriptures he emphasized).

Pastor Steve told us the three principles: Race, Task, and Gospel. God has set a race for us to run. In every race, we must finish it. In every race, God has also given us a “buddy”. But let us be careful. In Galatians 5:7, “You were doing so well until someone made you turn from the truth.” In every race lies obstacles too. We must keep that in mind. In this race, we have a task to accomplish. What’s the task given to you? But each of us are given the same Gospel to preach to the people. Let us be guided by the Spirit of God, and move according to His will. Now, with the Gospel. All throughout the race that we went through, were we shaped by the Gospel? Let us be reminded that He finished the race for us. “It is finished”. It’s all about His grace that we’re about to finish the race and the task He has for us. Actually, it’s all finished! But we’re still running. What does it mean? Grace. We could still run this race, and finish the task because of His grace. But isn’t it all finished? Yes. Now we have to share and experience the Gospel of Grace that Jesus lived; the Gospel of Grace that teaches us how to run the race and to finish the task.

At the end of Ignite 2013, we were given a dog tag with the word SOLD on it and a Bible verse, and declared! Sorry, I wasn’t able to take a picture of it, but the declaration could be seen at

IGNITE 2013. A fun and memorable experience indeed. Spiritual, emotional, physical, and even the mental being was really touched by God! At the end of the day, my buddy even treated me squid (?) balls and a bottle of water at the end of the day. I was so blessed by God through His presence and His people around me. Thank You, God! You’re so amazing.

The view of the stage (now I was able to go to the lowest section/area, not at the top anymore)

At the end of the day, I was blessed with food and water by God through my awesome friend.

This was my Ignite 2013 Experience. Thank you for reading!
